Bleacher Sports has released its NFL Draft picks for each team.
The top five selections are: O.K. Correa, DE, Missouri; Connor Cook, QB, Florida State; Jared Goff, QB/TE, Cal; and Jabrill Peppers, DE/OLB, Michigan.
The other five picks are: Jamal Adams, CB, LSU; Malik Hooker, S, Michigan; Josh Doctson, WR, TCU; and Jake Butt, OT, Alabama.
The list is a bit lengthy, so I’ve broken it down into categories to get you into the weeds a little more.
Let’s start with the players that were drafted in the first round.
The Dallas Cowboys drafted a total of four players in the top five picks.
The first round was loaded with talent and they ended up with a pair of the top three picks.
O.T. Smith and DeForest Buckner are the first two players on this list, but it’s not just their talents that are on display.
Both players are versatile, athletic and extremely versatile, but their biggest impact comes from their playmaking ability.
Both are physical tacklers, and have quick feet and a quick release to get around corners.
Smith has the quickest first step of any DT in this class, and Buckner has the fastest first step in the draft.
Smith, the defensive end, is an above-average run defender, and is an excellent pass rusher who will be able to make plays in the backfield.
Smith was a very solid run defender at Alabama, and he has the potential to develop into a great pass rusher.
Smith could be an ideal fit for the Dallas defense, but he will need to prove himself against bigger and faster defensive tackles in the NFL.
Buckner was a tremendous athlete and athlete at the Senior Bowl.
He ran a 4.39 40-yard dash and is a freak athlete who can play in the interior of the line.
He also had a 38-inch vertical leap and the ability to change direction quickly and burst to the football.
The most impressive part of Buckner’s game is his ability to stay in front of the ballcarrier and make plays all over the field.
Buckner will be a huge help to the Cowboys defense this season and should be able help in a number of different roles.
Bucks first game in Dallas was at left tackle and he showed off his quickness and quickness in pass protection.
He was able to rush the passer and disrupt plays.
Buck also had the ability of showing off his lateral quickness, which is often overlooked in a run defense.
He showed a nice spin move and burst through his blocks, showing off the ability for him to be disruptive in pass coverage.
I also like that Buckner was able go after the quarterback, showing the ability and quick feet to be a pass rusher in space.
His first interception was a big one for the Cowboys.
It’s nice to see Buckner getting the ball in his hands and getting to the quarterback quickly.
He had his way with the quarterback in the game, but was able a couple of times to force a throw.
He’s still learning the NFL game, and there are a few things he needs to improve on as a pass rush prospect, but Buckner showed flashes of his potential.
Bucking was the second most productive defensive end in the entire draft.
He is extremely athletic, has quick feet, good ball skills, and great hands.
Buck has the athleticism to play in any scheme, but has the physicality to play outside the box.
He has a good motor and plays with a great attitude.
He made a lot of big plays for the team.
I think Buck is a solid player for the future of the Dallas Cowboys defensive line.
He was the first defensive end drafted by the New Orleans Saints, and was the third defensive end to make the Pro Bowl.
If the Saints wanted to build their defense around their young defensive line, they should take a look at this player.
The Saints defensive line was one of the best in the league last year and this is the type of player they can use.
He plays a lot with his hands, and has good instincts to get to the ball.
He can move well and does a nice job in pass pro.
He will be the best defensive end the Saints have at the NFL Draft.
Buckles second season with the Saints was very productive.
He started all 16 games and had a sack and five tackles for loss.
He really flashed the ability as a run defender and he will be an asset in the Saints 3-4 defense.
Bucs fourth season was very disappointing.
He struggled with the pass rush.
He didn’t have a sack, but did give up five pressures on the season.
He did get some opportunities on the ball as a linebacker, but didn’t get any sacks and he did have three pass deflections.
It will be interesting to see if he can bounce back next
